The "SMALL" size of "ruck-tote," a bag that combines a backpack and a tote. This sacoche type is for those who want to carry as little as possible and be light on their feet.
Tote bags have handles and an opening at the "top," making it easy to check the contents or put things in and take them out while the bag is on your shoulder. On the other hand, backpacks have handles on the "side," which keeps them close to the body, and the cushioning and adjustable length of the straps make them less tiring to carry. We wanted to combine the convenience of both, so we designed a bag that feels like a backpack when you're on the go but allows you to put things in and take them out as smoothly as a tote.
The shape of the bag is a slightly irregular pentagon, which causes the center of gravity to shift. The heavier the contents, the more the handle becomes "horizontal," giving it the feel of a one-shoulder backpack. Then, by tilting the bag slightly, the opening becomes "upward," allowing it to be used like a tote. The details and hardware of the shoulder strap are as "backpack-like" as possible, while the fabric is intentionally made of "tote-like" canvas, so that the hybrid nature of the two is reflected not only in its functionality but also in its visual characteristics.
