Kenji Hirasawa

Born in Tokyo in 1982, this photographer and contemporary artist is based in Tokyo and London. A graduate of Keio University’s Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, they hold an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art. After mastering remote sensing using satellites, they began creating works centered on the themes of "humanity" and "life," utilizing a thermographic camera—one of the devices used in this field. They continue to expand the scope of their creative practice by actively incorporating installations, video, and new mediums and technologies. They have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions as well as projects both in Japan and internationally.
