Vanilla Gallery will hold an homage exhibition to Shakespeare's works in 2025, 90 years after Shoyo Tsubouchi passed away, almost simultaneously with the publication of his "New Revised Complete Works of Shakespeare."

It is no exaggeration to say that William Shakespeare (1564-1616) is the world's most famous literary figure, and he left behind many masterpieces, including the four great tragedies "Hamlet," "Macbeth," "Othello," and "King Lear," as well as the romantic tragedy "Romeo and Juliet," the comedy "A Midsummer Night's Dream," the historical drama "Julius Caesar," and the romantic drama "The Tempest." Even today, more than four centuries after his death, his stories, characters, and lines have deeply permeated theater, opera, ballet, film, literature, and the arts, and are firmly rooted as a cultural cornerstone around the world.

Shakespeare's masterpieces, which depict the human condition through joy, anger, sorrow and happiness and travel freely through time and space, contain universal philosophies and continue to captivate the hearts of many readers today.

Please enjoy this exhibition of works by 16 artists, whose works were inspired by the characters and settings of Shakespeare's plays, poems, and more.
