Masumi Shiohara / Photographer
I'm a fruit farmer. I have endeavored to create an artistic record of the fruits I grow in the form of photographs in their "most visually beautiful form before they are harvested."
Masumi Shiohara was born in Nagano Prefecture in 1974 . Worked as a development engineer at a microfabrication company. After leaving the company, he took over the management of the family orchard from his parents, and currently runs the farm. While growing fruit here, he developed an interest in incorporating fruit into photographic artwork, a skill he taught himself.
