Independent Tokyo 2026 / TOYO: Layers of Traces / 008608

Inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic, TOYO returned to the canvas after a hiatus of over 20 years, driven by a pure impulse for free expression and color.
Currently, while working for a company, TOYO actively creates art, focusing on "people" as a keyword to visualize the meaning and relationships found in encounters, and the deep connections woven by experiences. Circles and lines are seen as human forms and emotions, expressing a warm world with themes of "distance," "relationships," "connections," and "experiences."
TOYO continues to share works that can be freely enjoyed from various perspectives, even by those unfamiliar with art, both domestically and internationally.
