Mayumi Tsuzuki
Born in Tokyo in 1966. Graduated from the Department of Industrial, Interior and Craft Design at Musashino Art University in 1988. She creates oil paintings and lithographic prints, focusing primarily on solo exhibitions and art fairs, while also undertaking client work. Additionally, she engages in various creative activities, such as making "Fabric trophy" animal wall hangings. By depicting casual everyday scenes and people, she expresses the ambiguity of memory and the afterimages of emotions. She explores the coexistence of duality—light and shadow, peaceful yet unsettling, intimacy and distance—aiming to create works that overlap with the personal memories of each viewer.
