Rico Hoshino
A "natural-born artist" who sublimes the very act of living into expression.
She freely transcends all media, moving beyond specific domains to encompass contemporary art, songwriting, composing, vocals, piano performance, DJing, acting, and film production and direction. Furthermore, through her exceptional physical capabilities and core strength cultivated by ballroom dancing, pole dancing, and rhythmic gymnastics, she thoroughly trains her own body as a medium for expression, creating multifaceted work.
Her world of work features an exquisite balance of the "erotic," the "grotesque," and the "romantic." Through the venom and pain found in the depths of sensuality, as well as pure prayer, she violently shakes the viewer's ethical sense and unconscious biases.
While her visuals may at first glance appear to overflow with the realistic heat and energy of the city, at their core lies a poignant awareness of the structural distortions of modern society, particularly regarding female identity, sexual exploitation, and professional discrimination within male-dominated societies.
As a comprehensive artist who nimbly crosses the boundaries of existing art and entertainment while sharply posing questions to society, she is attracting significant attention.
