Work description: I found value in parts of my body and expressed it as stamps. We all have moments when we think, "I wish it were more like this." For example, if I could have smoother skin by removing my hair, if I were thinner, if I had wide double eyelids, if my hair was smooth... Such desires never end.
However, if we take a moment to stop and look at the whole picture, we realize that what we should really value is not the individual parts, but the facial expression, thoughts, and overall image of the person. Despite this, we are drawn to the small details and try to express their "value" in numbers.
This work is also a way of asking myself these questions.

Kaori Fukushima / Illustrator
Born in 1997. After studying abroad in the Czech Republic at the age of 17, he graduated from Hokkaido University of Education. While still a student, he held his first solo exhibition at the Yasuda Kan Sculpture Museum. After graduating, he is currently exploring his own expression as an illustrator and painter.
