The basic vertical tote "Tall" was born as ROOTOTE, a fun and functional bag that is unique to the design office nendo.


If you put your hand inside the tote bag, the "Lou Pocket" becomes a finger puppet.
Of course, when you use it on a daily basis, you can put the pocket inside and use it conveniently as an inner pocket, or "loo pocket."

Born in Canada in 1977. Graduated from the Graduate School of Architecture at Waseda University in 2002, and founded the design office nendo in the same year. He was selected as one of Newsweek magazine's "100 Most Respected Japanese People in the World" and has received numerous international design awards, including EDIDA's "Designer of the Year" in 2012. His representative works are housed in museums around the world, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York (USA). He was responsible for the design of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic cauldron and the new TGV carriages for France's high-speed railway. He is currently serving as the general producer of the Japanese Government Pavilion for the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo.
